Collection: Series KR
The KR line is a range of high-performance tires for the most demanding athletes. Compared to other manufacturers, they have a much longer lifespan at only a slightly higher price. This translates not only into a better price-to-laps ratio on the track, but also into fewer tire changes, which results in additional savings. What is important is that the KR series tires maintain their excellent grip parameters until the end of the abrasive layer (full disappearance of the marking “holes”). Tires from other manufacturers lose their grip gradually as they wear out.
The main advantage of Dunlops is their longer lifespan and the fact that they maintain their parameters until the very end of the abrasive layer. I have been driving on them for years and I cannot see an equivalent alternative. – says Artur Urbański, the head of motoRRaid.
In the paddocks of racetracks, you can hear legends about Dunlop tires suddenly “giving up”, and you can feel their gradual degradation on other tires. This myth has been derived from the fact that Dunlop tires maintain full performance until the abrasive layer (disappearance of markers/holes) on the surface of the tires is completely worn out. So, one can agree with this thesis, but only on the assumption that the wear limit of the tire is exceeded. When the markers disappear, we can enjoy the full parameters of our tire and even enjoy power slides under full control. With Dunlop tires, it is important to keep an eye on pressure and temperature. It is best to heat the Dunlop to 100°C, although 80°C guarantees optimal grip.
Check the pressure on the blankets, but also be sure to check it immediately after leaving the track. Recently in Poznań, I had a case where the difference between the pressure on the blankets and after leaving the track was as much as 0.5 bar!!! How is that possible? Well, you all know that in Poznań, with a large number of competitors, the voltage drops to as low as 180V and the blankets do not heat up the tires. In addition, it was a very warm day, and the driving was very aggressive ... 2+2 makes 4 😊 - says Artur Urbański, head of motoRRaid.
